Eggnog
Served in an old-fashioned glass
Ingredients
- 30 ml Cognac
- 30 ml Dark rum
- 1 piece Whole egg
- 22.5 ml Simple syrup
- 45 ml Milk
- 30 ml Heavy cream
Preparation
Shake all ingredients without ice, then shake with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.

Origin story
Eggnog has its roots in medieval Europe, where it was originally a warm drink made with milk and eggs. It became popular in America during the 18th century, especially around the holidays, often spiked with rum or brandy.
