Ingredients: 30 ml Bourbon; 30 ml Gin; 15 ml Rose's Lime Cordial; 2 dashes Angostura bitters; 120 ml Ginger beer

Served in a highball glass

Preparation

Shake spirits, lime and bitters with ice. Strain into a highball over ice and top with ginger beer.

The Suffering Bastard was created during World War II at the Shepherd's Hotel in Cairo, Egypt, as a remedy for hangovers among British soldiers. Its unique combination of spirits and ginger beer became a popular choice among travelers and expatriates.
