Whiskey Sour
Served in an old-fashioned glass
Ingredients
- 60 ml Bourbon
- 30 ml Lemon juice
- 15 ml Simple syrup
- 1 piece Egg white
Preparation
Dry shake all ingredients without ice, then shake again with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over ice.

Origin story
The Whiskey Sour dates back to the 1860s and is one of the earliest known cocktails, with its recipe appearing in Jerry Thomas's 1862 book, 'The Bartender's Guide.' It has since become a classic, enjoyed for its balance of flavors.
